Wynn Palace recently brought back its' signature afternoon tea and at a even affordable price  (MOP288+10%) compared to when it was first launched. We of course were excited to get our hands on it. However due to work we couldn't make it to the afternoon tea sesh, which is from 3:00pm till 5:30pm. Ngam ngam for this week we had a slight change in our operation hours so we finally managed to hit up Fontana Buffet. 

A small introduction for you: Fontana Buffet is one of the most fully-booked restaurant in Wynn Palace due to its magnificent view of the performance lake. Having a meal while watching the performance is really something! The music even syncs with the music in the restaurant so you could feel the extra impact of it while dining. 

You could totally choose to walk in but why not make a call just to make sure you're getting that set of afternoon tea? And it gets pretty crowded especially during Fridays, weekends and also eve of public holidays. (heee just saying)

Anyways, back to the afternoon tea. Like I mentioned, it will be a serving for 2 and is priced at MOP288+10%. It is not necessary to order more sets if you have more people so you can totally share. There are roughly 20+ pieces of the dessert like tarts, scones, macarons and so on. For us, the portion was sufficient for 3. I think if you share between 2, you would be really really full. So it also comes with 2 drinks, which you can choose from multiple types of tea or coffee. Don't you think it's super worth it?! 

The ambiance is great as well, the space was quite huge and we sat by the window. However it was a foggy day so I thought the view is not as beautiful as it could be. Bear in mind, it could get a little sunny if the sun were to shine bright as it will be only a transparent window away. So if you want the view, you have to take the heat and warmth as well. 

First, let me take you a tour around the restaurant. Basically the main colours are Red, Orange and Gold, hence the warm hues. As you can see, it's always luxurious in Wynn Palace. Each design is carefully picked and designed by the designer Roger Thomas and of course approved by the ultimate boss- Mr. Steve Wynn. If you have the time, take some time to look at the 20+ different mirrors that were collected from all over the world and now being showcased in Fontana Buffet. Every design is of their own and look like they came straight out of a magical movie. 

There are three sections in the restaurant and we sat in the most inner area. It almost seemed like a private dining area as there were not many tables.

We did order ala carte of the Club Sandwich which was good. There were many different flavours in the sandwich and the fries were awesome too! 

  

     

  

At the entrance of Fontana Buffet are The Floral Shop and Wynn Macaron. Both of the shops are also very pretty and exquisite. Look at the different ornaments, curtains, lighting and everything. 

So if you feel like getting flowers for your girlfriend on your anniversary or for your mom since Mother's Day is already near the corner, Fontana Buffet got your back!

For all of you who have met someone annoying or interacted with someone whom you just don't like at all, what do you do? The obvious is to leave the person and stop interacting with them. The question is, what happens when this is not an option? What if the person happens to be your lecturer (that you still have to see for another 3 semesters), or maybe it's your relative, could be your neighbour (that you know won't be moving anywhere in another 20 years) 

The world is filled with so many people with different kind of personality, some that you might like, some you might not. It's just like pancakes, some people like chocolate, some like strawberry and there are some who like it plain. As the surrounding, culture, family and background is what make a person at the end, there is basically no chance of having two people with the exact same attitude, belief, verbiage and personality. And as the differences of these factors increase, the end result will also be very different. So what do I mean by that? Let me give you some quick examples:

I'm sure just after the few questions mentioned above, everyone will have different answers to it. There is basically no right or wrong, it's just your way or my way. Many a times, a person will perceive his/her own ways of dealing with things as "the correct way". So when everyone deals with different situation differently, people may find other people "wrong".

I used to live in my own bubble world or some called the greenhouse when I was younger. I imagined the world to be a beautiful world with nice people who compliment you when you had a good hair day or congratulate you when you win a medal in a story telling competition. However later I found out, some people just wished that the discipline teacher would catch you and cut off some of your hair because "it's against the approved length" or they just wished that you would forgot your lines so there would be one lesser competitor.

Some people shared with me that I should give these people a taste of their own medicine. If they cut you when you talk, do the same! So to let them know how it feels when this happens. If they are loud and say insensitive things about you, do the same! Find even more things to say about the person so the person would shut up! Yes, I'm not gonna lie. I've thought about these things. I mean who dares to admit that you do not have a single bit of anger inside of you that you want to get back at the person? BUT, that's where your own beliefs come in. You have to ask yourself, what will I gain after acting this way? I know! I'll get my revenge and satisfaction. Yes, you might get all these. But what about after that? I think the possible thing that will happen is that you'll regret because that is just not who you are. You will question yourself- "So did I just turn into x who likes to act like this?" This might just make the world a little worse that it already is. 

For me, I think the way that I was brought up was to try to be a moderate person instead of an extreme person. Stand up for what you believe but not fight blindly for what you think you deserve. There are times that I feel like losing it and just let it all out. But of course, in many places it is not ethically permissible. So I turn this into another form-writing, After finishing this piece. I'm going to get a good shower and forget about all these. Tomorrow is a new day isn't it? There are much more other beautiful things that you should put your attention to.

Cheers to the first fine dining experience in a 1 star Michelin restaurant in Macau. To celebrate Jo's birthday we wanted to do something fancy and better than what we usually have. But honestly we didn't where to go, to think about it Cha Bei is quite a good one but we did it when it was first opened already. But one thing for sure, we wanted to go to Galaxy because the vibe there is just good, it's less crowded and nice to walk around. I think both of us just like the place a lot so went there.

After getting there, we hit the kiosk for selections of restaurants. We spent some good 10mins in front of the screen to decide and finally we agreed to Terrazza Italian Restaurant. It's located on the 2nd floor and we took the elevator. First thing about it, when we reached, there were 2 hosts smiling away and welcoming us. We stood there for awhile and looked at the menu. They were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. It didn't take them long to start asking for our names so they could address us (talking bout Forbes standard huh =P) They then escorted to our table and made sure we felt comfortable before going away to bring us the menu.
